Hyperbaric (HBOT) Helps With Osteonecrosis Of The Hip Joints

I wanted to share with you a case of a young man (38 yo) with Osteonecrosis of the hip joints who was advised that his only option was surgical intervention.   Based on a review of the literature - we began treating him with 60-90 minutes of 100% O2 at 2 ATM.  Within 2 weeks he noticed his use of pain medication has dramatically reduced.  After 3 weeks - he was relatively pain free with walking.   Repeat imaging is being done to see if the radiographic improvement matches the clinical improvement.

If you have patient with any of the above conditions - you can send a referral here   or send me an email or whats app me. hbot@peakhuman.ca , 437-925-6530

WHAT IS HBOT?
HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) involves breathing in oxygen pressurized by up to 3 times higher than normal oxygen pressure.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

By providing oxygen under higher pressure, approx 5-10 x more oxygen is dissolved into the plasma and is available to the tissues in the body.   Normally courses of 15-20 treatments are required  for resolution of the condition
