Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is emerging as a promising new approach for treating PTSD

I wanted to share this recent study that highlights how Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is emerging as a promising new approach for treating PTSD, particularly in cases that don't respond to traditional therapies.

New research highlights the potential of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for treating PTSD, especially in veterans resistant to conventional methods. The study found that 68% of HBOT participants experienced at least a 30% symptom reduction, with 39% achieving complete remission.

HBOT may enhance neuroplasticity and improve brain function related to emotional regulation and stress. Although results are promising, experts recommend further studies before widespread adoption, emphasizing the need for medically supervised protocols.

For more details, you can read the full article here.

If you’d like to learn more about this case or discuss how HBOT might support other patients, please feel free to reach out.

WHAT IS HBOT?
HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) involves breathing in oxygen pressurized by up to 3 times higher than normal oxygen pressure.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

By providing oxygen under higher pressure, approx 5-10 x more oxygen is dissolved into the plasma and is available to the tissues in the body.   Normally courses of 15-20 treatments are required  for resolution of the condition
